Maki rolls are a style of sushi originating from Japan, consisting of vinegared rice, seaweed (nori), and a variety of ingredients such as fish, vegetables, and sometimes tropical fruits. Maki rolls are typically rolled in a bamboo sushi mat (makisu) and sliced into bite-sized pieces. This style of sushi showcases the artistry of Japanese cuisine, allowing for diverse combinations of flavours, textures, and presentations.
